What the difference between Powder Coating and PVDF Coating?

We have our own experienced engineering team, making CAD drawing firstly, then do the cutting, and according to different usage, there are different surface treatment methods. Powder coating and PVDF coating are the most commonly used methods.

Powder Coating and PVDF Coating Introduction:

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder.

We have international standard painting line and we will take pre-treatment before coating which is very important for the lifetime of powder coating.  But many small companies do not have such operation.

Powder coating is well known for providing high-quality finishes in terms of both functionality and overall look. Powder coating is one of the most cost-effective finish options.

PVDF coating is a kind of electrostatic spraying and liquid spraying, which is called Polyvinylidene fluoride coating or Fluorocarbon spraying. It belongs to high-grade spraying, so the price is high.

PVDF coating has excellent fading resistance, frost resistance, corrosion resistance against air pollution (acid rain, etc.), strong UV resistance, crack resistance and can withstand bad weather environment.

Powder coating and PVDF coating Comparison:

Powder coating has the advantages of high efficiency, energy saving, less pollution, environmental protection, high paint utilization, and good coating performance. The disadvantage is that it is not resistant to sunlight.

PVDF coating has advantage of high brightness, thin coating and stable color, strong weather resistance, not easy to fade, and discoloration. It is inferior to ordinary coatings.

Generally, we suggest to use powder coating indoor and PVDF coating outdoor. It also depends on your project budget. For the same brand, the price of powder is generally higher than paint.
