There are 3 ways for installing Grip Strut Safety Grating include welding installation, Diamond Washer and Anchor Clamp Assembly installation.You can choose a proper installation method suitable for your application.
Welding Installation:
Welding is a common method of fastening safety grating. It is recommended that all Safety Grating products be fillet welded. It is more suitable for Long term fixation and does not require disassembly, like mechanical pedal, stair step and so on. It is characterized by simple installation, solid structure and reasonable price.
Welding Process:
1.Paint, rust, oil, water and other dirt must be removed from the surfaces of supporting steels and steel gratings before welding.
2.When welding and installation, the 4 corners of safety grating should be welded, and weld length need to be 20mm at least. For the larger area safety grating should be appropriately increased.
3.After completed, anti-rust paint is manually sprayed on the weld joints to protect the surface of the steel grating from rusting.
Diamond Washer installation:
Diamond Washer installation usually used in place that need to be removed often, such as manhole cover, scaffolding and other places. When installing screws, each corner of grip strut grating need to be fixed. It can effectively prevent damage to the product
Diamond Washer Process:
1.Install the diamond washer. Put the diamond washer on the upper surface of the steel grating.
2.Install bolts and nuts. When the diamond washer is correctly installed, insert the bolts to it through the bolt holes, and tighten the nuts from bottom to top.
Anchor Clamp Assembly Installation:
This way can increase load carrying capacities of individual channels by fastening several planks together to form an integral section.
Process:
1.Align two planks side by side
2.Put J-Bolts on openings each other
3.Install anchor plate up J-Bolts until snug.
4.Install nuts until planks are secure
